Change is constant. Transmutation is intentional. Black Matter: The Magician is a collection of writings, collages, audio, posters, and advertisements, both real and imagined, commenting on the perceived stereotypes of black people and the transmutation of thought and aspirational yearnings for cultural success as an African-American male.

Jamaali Roberts is a painter, muralist, illustrator, and musician from Atlanta, Ga.
